Sunni Beville, Managing Director of Brown Rudnick’s Dispute Resolution & Restructuring Department and Partner in the Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Practice Group, has received the Women, Influence & Power in Law’s Innovative Leader award from Corporate Counsel. The annual awards recognize the nation’s top women lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession and demonstrated a commitment to the empowerment of women in law. The Innovative Leader award in particular honors women “who are looked at as the ones impacting change and developing new strategies for better solutions.”

Beville served as Brown Rudnick’s first Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EID) Partner and drove the Firm to embrace different solutions when it comes to supporting and promoting diverse lawyers, and successfully implemented several practical initiatives, rooted in science, that have had a measurable impact. 

Along with her fellow honorees, Beville will be celebrated at an awards dinner on October 7 in Washington, D.C., as part of the Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference.

Beville represents middle market public and private companies, creditors, official and ad hoc committees of creditors and equity holders in complex brokerage firm insolvency cases, Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, Chapter 15 bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructuring matters. Her practice focuses on all aspects of the insolvency and bankruptcy process, including commencement of Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 cases, contested plan confirmation hearings, section 363 sale process, contested relief from stay and cash collateral hearing, and fraudulent conveyance and preference litigation.
