NEW YORK –  February 25, 2021 – In celebration of Black History Month, Brown Rudnick hosted award-winning actor, best-selling author, and entrepreneur Hill Harper in conversation with Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group Partner David Moreno. The dynamic discussion, held on February 23rd, involved Harper’s social justice work in Flint, Michigan and beyond, the Black Lives Matter movement, the role of attorneys in furthering social equity, and the importance of believing in oneself. 

Hill Harper is a humanitarian, an award-winning actor, best-selling author, entrepreneur, health and wellness ambassador, and philanthropist. Harper is starring in ABC’s #1 television drama The Good Doctor for its 4th season, and will be hosting his new podcast COMMAS premiering during Black History Month 2021. In addition to his performing career, Harper has authored four New York Times bestsellers. Harper has been recognized with seven NAACP Image Awards, four of them for his writing. Letters to an Incarcerated Brother, Harper’s latest book speaks to the current mass incarceration crisis. Harper is the founder of the Manifest Your Destiny Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved youth through mentorship, scholarship, and grant programs, and he has been named honorary co-chair of Redevelopment of Black Wall Street by the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
