NEW YORK – March 02, 2020 – Brown Rudnick LLP added Oksana Lashko as a partner in the New York office. She joins as a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. Lashko was formerly an associate with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.

With nearly 12 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law at international law firms, Lashko represents debtors, secured lenders, ad hoc creditor committees, and other significant parties in major U.S. and international bankruptcies.

“Companies across industries are preparing for an economic slowdown,” said Robert Stark, Practice Group Leader of Brown Rudnick’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Group. “As clients raise questions and seek counsel on a wide range of restructuring matters, we continue to seek out strategic and tenacious talent to meet those needs. Oksana brings incredible depth to the bankruptcy group, working on both U.S. and cross border matters across a number of key industries, including energy, shipping, and real estate. She will be a tremendous addition to our New York office and Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Group.”

Lashko advises both creditor and debtor clients across a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, shipping, sports, retail, publishing, and real estate. Recent matters include representation of:

  • Unsecured bondholders of Neiman Marcus Group in its $5 billion restructuring

  • An ad hoc group of term loan lenders in connection with the pre-arranged chapter 11 restructuring of American Tire Distributors in its $2 billion restructuring
  • Secured lender of Danaos Corporation, a leading container shipping company, in a $2.2 billion restructuring of multiple debt facilities

“Brown Rudnick has a reputation for working on some of the most complex restructuring cases and providing unique client solutions that solve the unsolvable problems,” said Lashko. “I am very excited to grow my practice with this multi-disciplinary and cross-jurisdictional team.”

Prior to joining private practice, Lashko was a judicial intern under Judge Allan L. Gropper of the United States Bankruptcy Court, S.D.N.Y. She spent the next 12 years working for prominent bankruptcy practices based in New York, representing global clients in nearly every industry sector.

Lashko earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, summa cum laude, and her B.A. from Colgate University.
