In this episode, Partner Hailey Lennon speaks with Tongtong Gong, co-founder and COO of Amberdata, about how the blockchain industry encourages financial inclusion.

There has historically been a gender gap in many financial and technological industries, Gong said. But the crypto space is more welcoming and there are a lot of women who are joining the industry and taking leadership roles.

“Everything starts with information sharing,” she said. “It’s the access to knowledge, the access to the community and I think I was first encouraged because I went to a meetup where I listened to Christine Moy from JP Morgan and Amber Badlet, back in the day, demoing Quorum, which is JP Morgan’s enterprise version of Ethereum, talk about their use cases and different clients. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this is interesting,’ and when I see the blockchain lead was Amber and Christine are both two bad ass ladies, I’m like, ‘OK, damn, I can do this.’”

Amberdata is a crypto analytics firm founded in 2017 that translates raw data about the cryptoeconomy into comprehensive, actionable information for enterprise companies.
