Litigation & Arbitration


Seth Fiur is an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group. He regularly represents companies and individuals in every phase of high-stakes complex litigation, and has worked on cases involving numerous industries, including private equity, real estate, financial services, retail, sports, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Seth has extensive experience in particularly complex discovery processes and disputes in both state and federal courts, and has litigated issues of law at both the trial court and appellate levels. He has also worked on a number of government and regulatory investigations.

Seth is active in numerous legal organizations. He is a member of the Council on Judicial Administration at the New York City Bar Association, which oversees the Association’s efforts to advise and comment on the structure and rules in New York’s state and federal courts. Seth was also invited to participate on the American Arbitration Association’s Panel on Innovation and Technology, providing advice to the AAA on potential changes and improvements in the commercial arbitration process.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Seth worked as a senior litigation associate in the New York office of a major international firm. After graduating first in his class at Fordham Law School, Seth served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Patty Shwartz, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Honorable Claire C. Cecchi, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.


In recent years, Seth has worked on the following matters:

Represented a leading pharmaceutical company in a complex insurance litigation involving two separate towers of insurance and more than a dozen insurance companies, including overseeing contentious, multiyear discovery process and motion practice.

Represented a nationwide retailer in one of the first high-stakes M&A cases related to the COVID-19 pandemic, achieving a favorable settlement during expedited proceedings.

Served as lead associate on behalf of debtors and creditors in large bankruptcy disputes, including two trials on novel legal issues.

Represented a leading capital management firm in an SEC investigation that achieved a positive result for the client.

Advised companies on decisions and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes without litigation.

Represented investors in litigation and appeal of insurance coverage action related to corporate bankruptcy.

Represented companies, nonprofits, and government entities in appeals, including merits briefing, oral argument, amicus briefs, and petitions for certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Represented a manufacturer in multination international arbitration.

Represented a real estate firm in foreign discovery dispute stemming from international litigation.

Represented real estate developers in property disputes.

Represented a leading market technology company at the preliminary injunction phase of an antitrust litigation.

Represented sports leagues and teams in a variety of litigation and related matters, including insurance coverage matters and providing advice related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Represented a nationwide technology company in regulatory investigation related to financing programs.
