Nick Vasquez is a partner in the Firm’s International Corporate Practice Group.

He focuses on UK and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and emerging companies, and commercial matters. Nick leads on private equity M&A transactions for real estate and private equity funds, with a particular focus on the hospitality industry, as well as corporate transactions for family offices and technology companies. Nick's career experience also includes private equity fund formation, debt finance, and insolvency and restructuring.

He spent time practicing in New York on major cross-border corporate transactions.



Private Equity & Real Estate Transactions

Purchase of four Grange Hotels in London (1,300 guest rooms) for Queensgate and leasing to Fattal Hotels in £1 billion transaction.

Acted on numerous transactions, joint ventures, major reorganizations and acquisitions for a multi-family office wealth manager and investment advisor.

Sale of London Executive Offices (LEO), a serviced office business, by Queensgate Investments to an Asian family office.

Acquisition of Generator, a global lifestyle hospitality group, for c.€450 million, for a real estate private equity fund.

Acquisition of the Courtyard by Marriot hotel, Washington, DC for $54 million.

Acquisition of Kensington Forum, a 900+ key London hotel for above £350 million.

Acquisition of a large shopping centre in Germany on behalf of a family office for above €100 million.

Acquisition of the hurricane-hit Riu St Martin resort in French Caribbean for Sole Resorts, the international hotels and resorts group.

Sale of a c.€315 million stake in Geneba, a Dutch-listed real estate investment company focused on industrial real estate in Germany and the Netherlands, by a Canadian private equity firm to a Singapore-headquartered property company.

Venture Capital & Technology Transactions

Seed, Series A and later stage series venture capital finance rounds in tech and life sciences fields, representing both venture capital firms and founders, including cross border investment by UK VC fund into German gym tech start-up.

Acting for lead investors in late-stage series round in new medical technology.

Acting for the founder on the investment into an advanced aerospace technology company by Chinese and Middle Eastern investors.

Acquisition of a UK software company by a US-based global health care company.

Sale of a UK software company to a large US exchange.

Working with ad-hoc consortium of investors in the Co-Operative Bank PLC during negotiations on financial restructuring.

Equity co-investment aspects of financing by large mezzanine finance providers related to the auction of a Belgian chemicals company.

Financing by mezzanine finance providers in support of the leveraged buyout of a European environmental products group.
