Litigation & Arbitration


Luis Vargas Rivera is an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Luis was a Summer Associate with the Firm and worked on cases at multiple stages of litigation as well as on bankruptcy-related matters. Previously, he served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable William P. Robinson III, Rhode Island Supreme Court; a Judicial Extern to the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit; and a Judicial Intern to the Honorable William E. Smith, U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island.

While at the Roger Williams University School of Law, Luis was a volunteer at Blessed Sacrament School through the Street Law Program. He also represented clients in criminal matters through his work in the Roger Williams University Criminal Defense Clinic, including cases involving misdemeanor assault, disorderly conduct, and those arising out of traffic violations, two of which he prepared for full trial. Luis was the Rhode Island editor of the Roger Williams University Law Review.
