Jennifer Ihns Charles is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group. Jennifer represents domestic and foreign corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies in their mergers and acquisitions, other business and financial transactions, and in their day-to-day operations. She works with companies in a wide variety of industries, including transportation, life sciences, media, manufacturing and distribution, and networking and IT infrastructure.  

Jennifer has experience in structuring transactions and drafting and negotiating transactional documents in connection with asset sales and acquisitions, stock acquisitions, mergers, private placements, venture capital transactions, hedge funds and lending transactions. In addition, she represents investors, issuers, lenders and borrowers in their funding activities, including joint ventures and equity investments.

Jennifer speaks fluent Portuguese and conversational Spanish.


Regularly represents companies in connection with strategic acquisitions and dispositions ranging in value from $2 million to more than $800 million.

Represents investors, including hedge, private equity and real estate funds in connection with portfolio acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures.

Assisted a publicly-traded medical device company with a structured investment in, and an option to acquire, a privately-held medical technology company.

Assisted in the corporate-side representation of a company which, with a partner company, successfully bid $3 billion for a mortgage servicing unit of a company in bankruptcy.

Represented venture capital companies in several rounds of financing, ranging from $1 million to $5 million per round.

Represented a company in selling and purchasing several television stations in several US states.

Represented a technology company in obtaining an easement and $7.5 million in financing to construct an office building.
