NEW YORK – August 3, 2020 – Brown Rudnick celebrates former OnRamp Fellow, Susan Sieger-Grimm’s promotion to counsel in the firm's Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. Susan initially joined the firm in December 2019 as a fellow through the OnRamp Fellowship program. Susan quickly made an impact on the growing and active Restructuring Group.
“We are thrilled about Susan's promotion to counsel. She has proven herself to be a hard worker with a particular drive to succeed and has become a valuable member of the Restructuring Group,” said Ed Weisfelner, chair of Brown Rudnick’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Group. “We are grateful to have participated in the OnRamp Fellowship, and will be looking to participate again in the future to prospect experienced talent for the firm.”
The OnRamp Fellowship is a re-entry platform that matches experienced lawyers who are committed to returning to the workforce after a career hiatus, most typically to care for their family, with law firms and legal departments in the U.S. for year-long paid positions. The Fellowship serves as a source of access to an untapped group of diverse, high-performers who are ready for an opportunity to advance in the legal profession.
“My experience working with the multi-talented members of the Restructuring program was invaluable,” said Sieger-Grimm. “With the continuous torrent of interesting and challenging work, Brown Rudnick has proven to be the perfect place to grow my practice.”
The addition of Sieger-Grimm is a testament to the continued growth and strength of Brown Rudnick’s Restructuring practice, which boasts recent clients including Chesapeake, Metal Partners, Libbey Glass, Inc., Red Rose, Inc., and Ravn Air Group.
Sieger-Grimm started her career as a restructuring associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges and later Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. She then stepped away from her restructuring practice to raise her children and serve as a special education advocate on behalf of children with disabilities. Most recently, she has co-authored supplements and updated editions of several legal treatises including, "The Commercial Law of Intellectual Property," 2020 Cumulative Supplement (Wolters Kluwer, 2019); "The Law of Fraudulent Transactions," Cumulative Supplements 1 and 2 (Thomson Reuters, forthcoming 2020) and "The Law of Suretyship and Guaranty," 2020 Edition (Thomson Reuters, forthcoming 2020).
Sieger-Grimm received her J.D. from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William & Mary and her B.S. from University of Maryland, College Park.
