NEW YORK –  February 22, 2021 – Brown Rudnick advised NextPoint Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), in its acquisition of Liberty Tax, a leading tax return preparation service provider, and LoanMe, an established consumer and small business lender ($643-million total enterprise value), and in a related PIPE and debt financing arrangement. The combined business, to be named NextPoint Financial Inc., is positioned to become a one-stop financial services superstore for credit-challenged consumers and small businesses. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.
