NEW YORK – December 16, 2019 – Brown Rudnick LLP welcomes OnRamp Fellow, Susan Sieger-Grimm, to the firm’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Practice Group as an Associate.
“We’re thrilled to have Susan joining as the firm’s first OnRamp Fellow. She’s a smart, driven and confident lawyer who will add depth to the New York office,” said Ed Weisfelner, chair of Brown Rudnick’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Group and member of the Firm’s Management Committee. “The OnRamp Fellowship is a unique and important program that helps to replenish the talent pipeline for law firms, and we’re very excited to be a part of it.”
The OnRamp Fellowship is a re-entry platform that matches experienced lawyers who are committed to returning to the workforce after a career hiatus, most typically to care for their family, with law firms and legal departments in the U.S. for year-long paid positions. The Fellowship serves as a source of access to an untapped group of diverse, high-performers who are ready for an opportunity to advance in the legal profession.
Sieger-Grimm started her career as a restructuring associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and later Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. She then stepped away from practice to raise her children and serve as a special education advocate on behalf of children with disabilities. Most recently, she has co-authored supplements and updated editions of several legal treatises including, “The Commercial Law of Intellectual Property,” 2020 Cumulative Supplement (Wolters Kluwer, 2019); “The Law of Fraudulent Transactions,” Cumulative Supplements 1 and 2 (Thomson Reuters, forthcoming 2020) and “The Law of Suretyship and Guaranty,” 2020 Edition (Thomson Reuters, forthcoming 2020).
“I’m looking forward to reentering the legal field and joining the Brown Rudnick office in New York,” said Sieger-Grimm. “With the firm’s expansive reach and impressive multi-disciplinary and cross-jurisdictional Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Group, it’s the perfect place to begin growing my practice once more.”
Sieger-Grimm received her J.D. from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William & Mary and her B.S. from University of Maryland, College Park.
