LONDON, 02 March, 2020 - International law firm Brown Rudnick LLP has continued to add to its international restructuring and finance practice with the appointments of Richard Obank and Colin Ashford as partners in London. They both join the firm’s European restructuring team from DLA Piper.

The appointments follow the hires of partners Charlotte Møller and Monika Lorenzo-Perez to the restructuring practice in London earlier this month, as well as the significant expansion of its Paris based restructuring team last year.

Neil Micklethwaite Managing Partner of Brown Rudnick's London office said: “We are delighted that Richard Obank and Colin Ashford will be joining Brown Rudnick’s pre-eminent global restructuring and finance group. They are key additions to the firm’s impressive experienced practitioners who advise corporates and investors involved in major cross border restructurings and insolvencies. Richard advises UK and overseas corporates, public and private, private equity investors and financial institutions. He has worked on multiple distressed M&A transactions, debt and capital restructuring and work out situations, and company voluntary arrangements. • Complex business transactions, including (distressed M&As and complex transactions in the context of disagreements between shareholders and others); and

The firm advises debtors, asset purchasers, examiners, mediators and proposed plan sponsors, amassing a number of multi-jurisdictional and successful cross-border restructurings in Europe, Asia and Africa.
