Zachary Bestor is an associate in Brown Rudnick's Energy, Utilities & Environmental Group. Zachary's experience includes corporate counseling, environmental and energy regulatory and transactional work, administrative litigation, policy advocacy, and lobbying work. His environmental law experience includes petitioning EPA under the Clean Water Act, performing environmental due diligence to facilitate the sale of corporate assets, counseling clients regarding environmental site assessments and obtaining “No Further Action” letters, drafting a class-action settlement involving alleged pollution from an industrial facility, and intervening in a land-use appeal. His energy law experience includes drafting and filing utility Interconnection Agreements at FERC, assisting in utility litigation, and arguing to the Connecticut Public Utility Regulatory Authority (PURA) during adjudicatory hearings.
Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Zachary was the Peter B. Cooper Legal Fellow at Connecticut Fund for the Environment, where he litigated environmental and land use cases, lobbied in state government, and developed and managed an environmental policy campaign.
