Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring
Rebecca Terrace is an Associate in the Firm's Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. Her experience extends to a wide variety of commercial sectors including, retail, energy and natural resources, project finance, and real estate.
Rebecca's experience includes advising turnaround directors, financial institutions, creditors, and distressed companies on formal insolvency procedures including, administration, liquidation and receivership, as well as advising both lenders and borrowers in relation to the restructuring and refinancing of distressed facilities.
Rebecca also has experience acting for both lenders and borrows in large multijurisdictional finance transactions.
In recent years, Rebecca has worked on the following matters:
Advising administrators, liquidators, and receivers on their appointment, the disposal of assets, and ongoing advice during the course of the insolvency.
Conducting security reviews for secured lenders and providing advice on restructuring, exiting the current facility, and potential enforcement.
Advising distressed companies and their directors.
Advising lenders and borrowers in respect of new lend finance and security packages.
Advising lenders in the appointment of IPs and realisation of assets.
Advising purchasers in the acquisitions of business and assets out of insolvency.
Advising the administrators of Bernard Matthews in relation to the prepack sale of the business and assets of Bernard Matthews.
Advising turnaround directors of subsidiaries in the Lehman Brothers group which did not enter an insolvency process on various matters including the wind down of a personal loan company based in the UK, the continuation of an Irish subprime lender, and general corporate governance advice to the directors.
Acting for borrowers and lenders in multijurisdictional real estate finance transactions.
Acting for the borrower on a long running commodity financing transaction.
Acting for the lender in the purchase of a large distressed shipping portfolio.
