Nikhil Patel is an Associate in Brown Rudnick’s Intellectual Property group.

Nikhil's experience focuses on patent prosecution, litigation and client counseling, in addition to guiding engineering companies and universities through the development, management, protection, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Practicing for nearly a decade, Nikhil has extensive experience in the technology industry, with an emphasis on electronics, computer science, communications, physical science, medical, and various engineering fields. Nikhil has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as assisting clients with intellectual property matters relating to patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, trademark oppositions, written and oral opinions, trademark prosecution, copyright law, licensing, domain name disputes, the sale and licensing of intellectual property assets, and associated counseling strategies.

Nikhil is also a member of Brown Rudnick’s Cybersecurity team. With a computer science background and professional cybersecurity experience, he has a deep understanding of the technology associated with cyber issues.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Nikhil  was Of Counsel at Lathrop & Gage LLP.
