Biography

Nick Vasquez practises in the International Corporate Group, focusing on UK and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and emerging companies, private equity, real estate transactions and commercial matters. Nick has acted for private equity and real estate funds, investors and entrepreneurs in venture capital, family offices, investment funds and AIM listed companies. Nick's wide-ranging career experience also includes private equity fund formation, debt finance and insolvency and restructuring and a period practicing in New York on major cross-border corporate transactions.

Representation

Seed, Series A and later stage series venture capital finance rounds in tech and life sciences fields, representing both venture capital firms (Highland Capital, Atomico, Arthurian Life Sciences among others) and founders

Family offices and boutique investment banks on bespoke investments and complex structuring and joint ventures (LJ Capital, Salamanca Capital)

Private acquisitions e.g. buyer of a UK software company by a U.S.-based global health care company, purchase of a real estate portfolio and sale of a UK software company to a large U.S. securities exchange.

Reverse takeover and re-admission to AIM of an established technology company, and strategic acquisitions in the tech sector

European Bank of Reconstruction and Development in cross-border debt and equity financing projects, in France, Bosnia and Ukraine

Working with ad-hoc consortium of investors in the Co-Operative Bank PLC during negotiations on financial restructuring

Advising mezzanine finance providers related to financings and equity co-investments in cross-border LBOs and restructurings.

Cross-border leveraged buyout by a European private equity firm of a hospitals group in Greece
