Matthew Sawyer is an associate in Brown Rudnick’s Restructuring practice group in the Boston office.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Matthew worked as a Financial Associate at Weston Financial. While studying at Boston College Law School Matthew worked as a Summer Law Clerk for Sensitech Inc. and interned at the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

At Boston College Law School Matthew was a Student Coordinator in the Program on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PIE). He was also involved in the Boston College Law School Innocence Clinic.

Representation of the Special Claims Committee of the Federal Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico in litigation arising in the PROMESA Title III insolvency proceedings of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, including disputes regarding the validity of over $12 billion in bonds issued by Puerto Rico and its instrumentalities.
