Commercial Litigation


Katherine Andrew practices in Brown Rudnick’s Commercial Litigation Group.

Katherine’s experience includes matters involving breach of contract, fraud, commercial torts employment law, copyright law, and other commercial and business matters. Katherine also assists in adversary proceedings and other litigation arising from the Firm’s restructuring and bankruptcy practice. Katherine has experience drafting pleadings, briefing dispositive motions, conducting discovery, drafting appeals and appearing before the courts.

During law school, Katherine was a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team. Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Katherine was a legal intern at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. While there, she observed trials and motion sessions, compiled discovery packets, and drafted memoranda for the Supervisor of District Courts on venue determinations and crimes of moral turpitude.


Representation of private equity firm and its executives against fraud and breach of contract claims brought by financial purchaser arising out of the stock sale of a distribution-based portfolio company.

Representation of court-appointed Liquidators of Fairfield Sentry Limited, the largest feeder fund to Bernard L. Madoff Investments Securities, in New York litigation and insolvency matters.

Representation of global financial services firm in breach of contract dispute.
