Justin R. Masterman is an Associate in the Corporate & Capital Markets group. His practice is focused on all aspects of commercial real estate, including the representation of owners, developers, and investors in the acquisition, disposition, permitting, financing, leasing, and joint venture structuring of all property types, including office, hotel, warehouse, retail, and multi‐family residential.
Some of Justin’s notable recent engagements include:
Drafted and negotiated acquisition, disposition, and financing of numerous individual and portfolio transactions across United States, including by local owner-operators, regional investment companies, and national, publicly-traded REITs.
Drafted and negotiated development agreements, construction contracts, and joint venture agreements on behalf of developers of and investors in a variety of large development projects in Massachusetts, including 140-unit condo project in Norton, 190-unit apartment building in Lynn, 350-key micro-hotel in Theater District, and 160-unit mixed-use building in South End of Boston.
Represented and advised owners, investors, and developers in negotiations with Boston Planning & Development Agency, Boston Zoning Board of Appeals, and other municipal and state bodies in connection with projects such as net-zero residential condominium community in Jamaica Plain, biotech build-to-suit in Seaport, and 120-key design hotel in Allston.
Drafted and negotiated numerous large office, industrial, co-working, retail, laboratory, and ground leases, including Boston’s largest office lease of 2015, and a Washington, D.C., co-working lease in a building that sold at the highest ever price for a co-working-anchored building in Washington history.
