Biography

Hui Ying Chee is an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group, where her practice focuses on assisting clients involved in international disputes and litigation.

Hui has broad experience drafting pre-action correspondence, conducting witness interviews and drafting witness statements and drafting substantive responses to regulator RFIs. Highlights of her experience include acting for a large global bank in High Court litigation relating to bank payroll tax and for a global spirits manufacturer in an HMRC enquiry relating to transfer pricing and diverted profits tax. Additionally, she served for a multinational electric utility company in Upper Tribunal and Court of Appeal proceedings relating to the application of loan relationship rules to the transfer of bankruptcy claims to a foreign subsidiary.

Prior to Brown Rudnick, Hui was an associate at another international law firm.
