Biography

Daniel Kerns is an associate in Brown Rudnick's New York office, where he practices in the firm's Litigation & Arbitration Group.

Prior to joining the Firm, Dan served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Juan R. Torruella for the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. During his time there he worked on bench memoranda for submission to law clerks, worked with co-interns to prepare material for chambers, cite-checked opinion drafts, researched case law, attended oral arguments, and observed interactions between counsel and law clerks. Dan also held a position here with the firm as a Summer Associate in 2017.

While at Boston University School of Law, Dan competed as a member on the National Moot Court team. Dan also participated in Boston University's Homer Albers Prize Moot Court competition, and his team won awards for Best Brief and Best Team.
