IP Litigation


Alessandra Messing is an associate in Brown Rudnick's IP Litigation Group.  Alessandra focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation in the Federal district and appellate courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.  She has experience litigating in Federal courts throughout the country including many of the most popular districts for patent litigation in Texas, Delaware, and Florida.  Alessandra handles all aspects of intellectual property litigation including, strategic analysis of claims and defenses, case management, fact and expert discovery, depositions, Markman hearings, including oral argument, all forms of motion practice, and trial.  Alessandra has taken active roles in the analysis of economic issues involved in patent litigation proceedings including damages and the ITC's domestic industry requirement.  Alessandra has successfully represented clients in a wide range of industries, including mechanical and consumer products, power tools, manufacturing, automotive parts, apparel, smartphone hardware and software, networking, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals. 

Alessandra was recognized as a 2017 "Rising Star" in the field of intellectual property by Super Lawyers Magazine, New York Metro edition.  Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Alessandra was an associate at Kenyon & Kenyon LLP.
