IP Litigation


Alessandra Carcaterra Messing is an associate in Brown Rudnick's IP Litigation group. Alessandra focuses her practice on patent litigation in the federal district and appellate courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Her litigation responsibilities include strategic analysis of claims and defenses, case management, taking depositions, drafting motions and briefs, and preparing fact and expert witnesses for deposition and trial. She has taken active roles in the analysis of the economic issues involved in patent litigation proceedings including damages and the ITC's domestic industry requirement. Alessandra has successfully represented diverse clients in a wide range of industries including mechanical and consumer products, power tools, smartphone software, networking, manufacturing, automotive parts, apparel, and pharmaceuticals.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Alessandra was an associate at Kenyon & Kenyon.
