Real Estate Counsel, Kathy Sloss, was a panelist for ICSC’s "Modernizing the Retail Lease" webinar.  The webinar focused on pressing issues the Real Estate industry is dealing with as a result of the Covid-19 shutdown and certain provisions typically found in retail leases that need to be modified in order to address these issues.  Kathy shares that the force majeure provision typically found in retail leases will need to be modified with respect to forced closures by governmental restriction in order to allocate and insure for such risk similar to the casualty provisions of a lease.
