  • 1. A personal statement of 500 words or less describing (i) your interest in practicing law in Boston or New York City, and (ii) how you would help support fairness, inclusivity and diversity in the legal community;

  • 2. An optional statement of 500 words or less describing the type of law you are most interested in practicing (e.g., IP, tax, bankruptcy/restructuring, litigation, corporate, etc.) and why;

  • 3. Official undergraduate transcript and law school grades (when they become available);

  • 4. A current resume;

  • 5. A legal writing sample (1L lawyering class brief accepted);

  • 6. Three professional or academic references – at least one must be from a law school professor.


The deadline for submitting this application is January 31, 2018.

By sending this form, the applicant attests that he or she is the first in his or her family to graduate from college.
