Equity, Inclusion & Diversity
At Brown Rudnick, we believe our differences make us stronger. We support and celebrate diversity at every level.
Equity, inclusion and diversity are core values at our firm and inform every aspect of our business. At Brown Rudnick, we devote the same energy and ingenuity to nurturing our firm’s inclusive culture as we apply to solving our clients’ global business needs. We are committed to:
- Creating a workplace where high-performing professionals from all walks of life can do their best work, together;
- Recruiting, developing, advancing and promoting talented attorneys from diverse backgrounds;
- Investing in internal and external initiatives that support the equality and inclusion of communities across the spectrum of diversity; and
- Developing the pipeline to practice for underrepresented populations and contributing to the long-term diversification of Brown Rudnick and the legal profession.
We invest in these efforts not only because it is right, but because we understand that diverse perspectives bring tremendous value to our practice and improve our ability to deliver exemplary client service. By leveraging the knowledge and experience of talented individuals across cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities and sexual orientations, we can provide truly unique solutions to our clients’ global business challenges.
Our efforts are led by Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Partners, Jane Colston and Chelsea Mullarney, with Director of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity, Renauld G. Clarke. Collectively, this team advises the firm on how best to identify and address implicit biases, increase the opportunities for people of color, women, LGBT+ and other professionals from diverse backgrounds to join the firm and advance at all levels, and create a more inclusive work environment for all employees of the firm.
